12 - 14 Mar 2012 – The Beauty of Bolivia
After 2 nice days in La Paz we went to Uyuni, also in Bolivia, for a 3 days/2 nights Jeep tour. I think I don’t have to write anything about it when you see the pictures. But to be honest I couldn’t even find the right words for this firework of beautiful nature. From the Salt Flat close to Uyuni to the desert at the boarder to Chile.
14 Mar 2012 – The Atacama Desert
Arrived in San Pedro de Atacama, I decided to stay the whole day and rent a bike for a little tour though the desert while the others took the bus to Iquique. San Pedro is a beautiful little village, especially made for tourists. Every second house a hotel or hostel every third a bike rental. I rent a bike for 5 hours and cycled through the beautiful “Valle de la Luna” (Valley of the Moon). Cycling in the desert is like running in a sauna but faster.
